Vietri is a contemporary organic wine collection created by Passione Natura, inspired by the Mediterranean way of living and the healthy, sun-driven agriculture of Southern Italy. The project takes its name from Vietri sul Mare, a small coastal town on the Amalfi Coast renowned worldwide for its hand-painted ceramics, vibrant colors, and timeless artisanal tradition.
Just like the ceramics of Vietri, these wines are conceived as an expression of color, light, and authenticity. They celebrate simplicity, balance, and pleasure, while remaining deeply connected to the land and to a culture shaped by the sea, the sun, and craftsmanship.
The wines are produced in Abruzzo, a region ideally suited for organic viticulture thanks to its natural ventilation, strong diurnal temperature shifts, and proximity to the Adriatic Sea. The vineyards are located along the coastal areas and on the rolling hills of Pescara and Chieti, where moderate altitudes and favorable exposures allow grapes to ripen slowly and evenly.
The soils, predominantly clay-based with limited amounts of silt and sand, provide structure, freshness, and aromatic clarity to both white and red varieties. These conditions are particularly well suited to Pinot Grigio and Montepulciano, two grapes that thrive in Abruzzo and express here a clean, vibrant, and approachable style.
Vietri wines are made exclusively from certified organic vineyards, following a production philosophy centered on respect for nature and for the people involved in the process. Vinification is carried out with a focus on purity, drinkability, and transparency, avoiding unnecessary manipulation and preserving the natural character of the fruit.
The guiding principle of the project can be summarized in a simple idea: the value of a wine should not be measured only by its organoleptic profile, but also by the integrity of its production, the health of its vinification process, and the respect shown toward the land and those who cultivate it.
