Ascione Alongi is a small, artisanal wine project rooted in the heart of Tuscany, born from a deep respect for tradition and a desire to rediscover the expressive power of native grape varieties.
The project focuses on two historic Tuscan grapes, Colorino and Canaiolo, often used as blending partners in the past but here vinified separately to highlight their individual identity, character, and connection to the land.
The vineyards are cultivated with a hands-on, sustainable approach, privileging low yields and careful manual work in order to preserve the natural balance of the vines and the integrity of the fruit. Each decision in the vineyard is guided by observation, patience, and respect for the seasonal rhythms.
In the cellar, vinification follows a minimalist philosophy. Interventions are kept to a minimum, allowing the grapes to express themselves with honesty and transparency. The resulting wines are authentic, territorial, and deeply linked to their Tuscan origins.
Ascione Alongi represents a return to essentials: few wines, native varieties, and a clear vision focused on authenticity rather than volume.
