Alessandro di Camporeale is located in the heart of western Sicily, in Camporeale, a small inland village in the province of Palermo. Here, between gentle hills and open landscapes, viticulture has deep historical roots, and the Alessandro family has been cultivating vines for generations, transforming tradition into a modern and quality-driven winery.
The contemporary history of the estate is shaped by the commitment and vision of three brothers—Rosolino, Antonino and Natale Alessandro—who, together with the new generation represented by Anna, Benedetto and Benedetto, have given new energy and direction to the family project. Each generation has contributed its own identity, united by a shared respect for the land and a constant pursuit of excellence.
The vineyards extend between 400 and 600 meters above sea level, an ideal altitude that ensures wide day–night temperature variations. This natural condition favors slow, balanced ripening and preserves freshness and aromatic precision in the grapes. The soils are predominantly clay-based with a strong limestone component, rich in minerals and particularly suited to both native Sicilian varieties and carefully selected international grapes.
Alessandro di Camporeale focuses on indigenous cultivars such as Grillo, Catarratto and Nero d’Avola, alongside Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc, which have proven perfectly adapted to the Camporeale microclimate. Vineyard work is carried out entirely by hand and follows organic farming principles, with great attention paid to biodiversity, soil health and sustainable practices. Green manure, natural vegetation and the use of roses as natural sentinels in the vineyards are part of the estate’s daily agronomic philosophy.
In the cellar, modern technology supports a respectful and precise winemaking approach. Fermentation temperatures and humidity levels are carefully controlled to preserve varietal expression. Wines such as Syrah age in French oak tonneaux to enhance structure and complexity, while whites and Nero d’Avola mature mainly in stainless steel, maintaining purity, freshness and clarity. Every step, from vineyard to bottle, is guided by balance and restraint.
Today, Alessandro di Camporeale represents a dynamic and authentic expression of Sicilian viticulture. Tradition, innovation and deep knowledge of the territory come together to produce wines that faithfully reflect their origin, offering elegance, character and a true sense of place.
