Masari was founded in 1998, when Massimo Dal Lago and Arianna Tessari chose to unite their personal experiences, passion, and vision to rediscover the history, landscape, and viticultural heritage of the Valle d’Agno. From the very beginning, their goal was clear: to create wines of excellence that could serve as an authentic expression of this lesser-known yet deeply evocative territory.
Their journey began with the search for old vineyards and native grape varieties, cultivated with patience, respect, and a profound sensitivity toward the land. Every decision in the vineyard is guided by the desire to preserve identity, allowing the natural character of the valley to emerge without distortion.
Arianna comes from a historic family of winegrowers rooted in the Soave Classico area, where viticulture has been passed down through generations. In the Valle d’Agno, she found a new and stimulating environment—one capable of expressing a distinct voice while still resonating with her deep agricultural heritage.
Massimo was born in the Valle d’Agno and developed his winemaking philosophy through studies at leading European universities and extensive professional experience. His return to his native land marked the beginning of a personal and professional mission: to reveal the potential of the valley through thoughtful, precise winemaking. It was this shared vision that brought Massimo and Arianna together in the creation of Masari.
At Masari, winemaking is not simply a profession, but a way of life that involves the entire family. Even the youngest members—Giovanni, Camilla, and Matteo—are part of this journey, growing alongside the vines and contributing to a project rooted in continuity, responsibility, and love for the land.
Today, Masari stands as both an exponent and guardian of the Valle d’Agno, crafting wines that reflect balance, authenticity, and a deep respect for nature—wines that tell the story of a family and a territory united by shared purpose.
