Poggio Graffetta
Calogero Cali’, the owner of many wineries in Tuscany, became the
owner of the Poggio Graffetta estate in 2003. The vinery is located in Ispica,
between Noto and Modica in Sicily. The territory has an extension of 27
hectares, 22 of which are vineyards. Mr. Cali’, from the beginning,
has enthusiastically provided the farm with modern technologies. He also
restructured the vineyards matching autochthonous grapes (Nero d’Avola)
and allochthonous grapes (Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon). A perfect combination
on traditional winemaking and modern technology results in the production
of very refined wines. |
