Massimino Venturini
The estate of Massimino Venturini is located in the commune of S. Pietro in
Cariano in Verona. The vineyard, situated on steep terraced hillsides overlooking
the city in an area know historically as Valpolicella, enjoys a south-western
exposure with a microclimate favorable not only to ripening of grapes for young
red wines, but to their drying in autumn and winter for the richly dry Amarone.
At an altitude between 500 and 1150 feet above sea level, Mr. Massimino Venturini
and sons have planted Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes, in a very light
limestone soil rich in fossils, to produce high quality wines of complex flavor.
Approximately 1000 cases of Valpolicella Classico Superiore are produced annually. |
