Fondo Antico
The astonishing nature of Sicily, blessed by a perfect climate, the sun,
and the aromas of a prosperous land is the perfect background for “Fondo
Antico”, a family owned winery located in the heart of that area near
Trapani, between the villages of Portelli and Fulgatore, called Frazione
Rilievo. The vineyards span about 200 acres of the best autochthonous grapes
such as Nero d’Avola, Grillo and Inzolia, as well as renowned international
varietals like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Chardonnay. A perfect
combination of traditional winemaking and modern technology results in the
production of very refined wines. The attentive supervision of the oenologist
Vincenzo Bambina, whose expertise has been enhanced by frequent travels
to wineries all over Italy and abroad, enriches the productive environment
with numerous innovations aimed to maximize the quality of the products
and celebrate a land with a millenary tradition.
